My Passion
My name is Matt Morris and I’m a professional photographer, Videographer, and action sports enthusiast. I love being able to freeze time, if for only a second, and sharing the outcome. I got into photography because my oldest son started racing BMX in 2015. Wanting to have quality photos of him, I didn't know anyone that took action sports photos. I was gifted a Canon camera by my amazing wife and the camera shutter hasn't stopped since. Starting with BMX Racing, my photography has allowed me to cover multiple sports including but not limited to: Baseball, Softball, Football, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf, Cheer, Gymnastics, Surfing, Nascar and the list continues to grow. With the use of a drone, I am also able to capture aerial photos in true 4K high definition. I love the ability to use a camera and stop action to provide the memory for families that last a lifetime. Bringing life to creative ideas and photography projects of all sorts is what keeps me interested to capture the best photos in every situation. I enjoying being behind the lens and all the challenges, the editing process brings.
2003-2009
For just shy of seven years, I served our country in the U.S. Navy. Traveling the world and seeing countries I may never see again. I wish I would have taken more photos of my journey but hindsight is always 20-20. As a Master-At-Arms (Military Police) I had the pleasure to see the would and work alongside some of the men and women I will always call my Brothers and Sisters. I traveled to Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines, Dubai, Egypt, Greece, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and all over the United States. Being able to snorkel in Hawaii, Guam and Greece was by far my favorite part of my military service. For those of you that have served or are still serving, Thank You for the sacrifices that you have made and continue to make. I am extremely thankful for all of our United States military service member both past and present.
We see big potential in every moment, and care deeply about what we do every day. It is my goal to be able to tell the story of the every sport within the frame of each photo. My vision for Morris Images was create and provide the best photos for every athlete regardless of the skill level. Being a sports photographer has opened so many doors both figuratively and literally, I'm excited to see what lies ahead as we move into our New Studio!
